We partner with other firms to pursue district court appeals of Social Security benefit denials
Burgess Disability Law solely handles federal district court litigation appealing the denial of Social Security disability insurance benefits and supplemental security income.
We do not represent claimants at the administrative level of the disability process. Rather, after a claimant receives a final denial from the agency, the claimant's administrative-level attorney refers the case to us to evaluate whether to seek judicial review of the denial. If we agree that the case should be appealed, Burgess Disability Law will litigate the appeal from complaint through completion of the district court process. When the district court case is resolved, Burgess Disability Law hands the case back to the attorneys who represent the claimant before the agency.
